The Hornbeam Centre is working with change champions who want to help their communities come up with an idea to share, grow or nurture their resources. Taking these steps will help people save money, protect local resources and boost health.
A Change champion is someone who can lead people in their communities to develop an idea to make the most of its resources. Ideas might include community cookery sessions, switching energy suppliers a group or setting up a sell or swap.
Change champions work with us to engage with people in the community to identify their resources and develop ideas, as well as motivating people to make small changes which will enable them live well for less.
Change champions receive ongoing support – including training, practical toolkits, access to champions network, funding and 1-2-1 coaching to kickstart community ideas.
In the coming months we will be sharing change champions journeys here – their projects, their stories and their ideas. We are also publishing a series of toolkits to accompany this programme.
